Sean is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University with B.S. degree in Biological Sciences. He founded CarpetCycle in 1999 and has been active Board Member for the Carpet American Recovery Effort (CARE) over the past 2 decades. He has been a speaker at the Living Building Challenge at Pittsburg in 2016, and Urban Green’s Managing Construction Waste panel in the Fall of 2017 hosted in New York City. Sean was named CARE’s Person of the Year in 2012, and CarpetCycle was named CARE’s ‘Recycler of the Year’ in 2006 & 2017. Most recently, Sean has begun manufacturing an innovative ‘closed-loop’ product called Quiet-Tech insulation, which utilizes post-consumer carpet fibers.
